Chris Veseth has worked at Lowe’s for 17 years. Born with cerebral palsy, Chris uses a wheelchair to aid with his mobility. But wheelchairs aren’t exactly cheap, so when Chris’ wheelchair started to break down, buying a new one wasn’t an option. Instead, Chris used tape to help hold his together.
Chris’ coworkers noticed this and decided that they needed to step up and do something to help their friend. So they launched a fundraiser, with a goal of $8,000 to buy Chris a new wheelchair. But within six days, they didn’t meet their goal—they crushed it!
